Strike Fighter Squadron 27 (VFA-27), also known as the "Royal Maces", are a United States Navy. The F/A-18E Super Hornet fighter squadron stationed at Naval Air Facility Atsugi. They are a part of Carrier Air Wing 5 and are attached to the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. The U.S. Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, has used the Hornet since 1986.
